SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: This course aims to raise awareness that human resources are the most important factor for businesses to gain competitive advantage over their competitors. In this context, it aims to introduce students to the processes and strategies in recruitment and placement.
Course Content: This course includes the concept of human resource management, basic human resource management functions such as planning, job analysis, recruitment and selection, orientation, training, training and development, performance and Ders management, reward and remuneration.

Course Specific Rules

As the Course Requirements, students are expected to participate in classes, actively participate in class discussions and evaluations, complete their homework within the given time and check their e-mails daily through OIS.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) are those describing the knowledge, skills and competencies that students are expected to achieve upon successful completion of the course. In this context, Course Learning Outcomes defined for this course unit are as follows:

  1) Explains the general concepts of Human Resources Management and the basic functions of Human Resources Management.
  2) Within the framework of Human Resources Planning, it evaluates how the manpower need in an enterprise is determined and from which sources it can be met, employee selection processes, interview and test methods.
  3) Defines the career concept and career management process.
  4) Distinguish between orientation training in businesses, training needs analysis, preparation and implementation of training programs, training methods, and measurement and evaluation in education.
Skills (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
  1) Can prepare the CV properly.
  2) Can express himself / herself in the interviews with the employer during the recruitment process.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) Take responsibility in his profession and apply ethical values.
