Course Objectives: |
The aim of this course is to introduce abnormal behavior patterns, existing categories of mental disorders, main causes, symptoms, prevalence in the population, diagnostic criteria on DSM-V and common treatment methods to students. |
Course Content: |
Introduction to psychopathology, history of psychiatry, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, major depression, anxiety disorders, common anxiety and panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, specific phobias related pathologies, presentation and discussion of diagnostic criteria, symptoms, causes and psychopharmacological and psychological treatment methods. |
