SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The purpose of this course related to transport planning techniques to students and functioning of the planning process is to ensure that the quantitative learning process
Course Content: Students economic concepts of supply and demand, and they examine the financial implications of the transportation planning process. Students will use a variety of data collection and estimation techniques, and network design principles and the use of modeling techniques to learn. Strategy plans, national, regional and local level development is viewed. Operational problems will be identified and
performance monitoring and reviewing policy issues are explored. Students appraisal, evaluation and control techniques are used. Project identification, evaluation of project costs, benefits, and will explore the requirements for other outcomes. In addition, public and private funding mechanisms and the introduction of project examines them.
