SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: In this course, craeted a general knowledge in the area of art, design and culture and aims to enable the students, to use this knowledge in every area of design and art in the future.
Course Content: In this course,we have examined in various aspects of the historical development of design, art and culter. Overview of design activities throughout the ages with different socio-cultural structures. Beginning from the prehistoric era, to be discussed the development of the product in terms of civilizations and technologies. Characteristics of the periods before the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Industrial Revolution and their understanding of production. Developments after the industrial revolution. Rationalization, effects and diffusion. Important design insights of the 20th century and contemporary art and its effects on design will be covered.
