SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: This course focuses on examining different types of case studies from the private and public sector to help students gain an understanding of the whole purpose of public relations within/for organizations.
Course Content: The topics of PR campaign projects, things to do while preparing a PR project, main titles and issues that should be presented in a PR project, PEST and SWOT analyses, case studies from different sectors.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) are those describing the knowledge, skills and competencies that students are expected to achieve upon successful completion of the course. In this context, Course Learning Outcomes defined for this course unit are as follows:

  1) Knows what to do when preparing a PR project and puts that knowledge into practice.
Skills (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
  1) Knows how to write a good PR project.
  2) Knows how to present PR projects.
  3) Realizes the importance of corporate social responsibility projects and becomes aware of the key factors that should be taken into consideration when running a project.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) Realizes that the basic process of PR is the same in very sector.
