SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: Being able to be active on the internet, managing digital advertisements, communicating effectively with the right audience, and providing mass communication by combining the aesthetic anxiety and correct interaction skill in the website interface design.
Course Content: To be able to dominate the internet environment. Having information about digital advertising models and advertising management. To have knowledge about the technical and application units that should be considered in designing the website interface. To be able to provide the right communication with the aesthetic concerns on the interface designs of the landing page, advergame and micro sites used in the digital media.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) are those describing the knowledge, skills and competencies that students are expected to achieve upon successful completion of the course. In this context, Course Learning Outcomes defined for this course unit are as follows:
Knowledge (Described as Theoritical and/or Factual Knowledge.)
  1) 1- Recognize the relevant principles of basic communication, design and web design. 2- It is used in web design and has enough information to use its programs sufficiently. 3- Recognize contemporary, original, aesthetic and applicable digital design products. 4. Knows and follows the authorities in the field of art and design.
Skills (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
  1) 1- It has aesthetic point of view to produce digital design product. 2. Create digital design products and projects. 3- Plan the stages of creation, application and production of digital design. 4- Use computer-aided digital design programs effectively and quickly.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) 1- Independently prepare the ideas, drafts, concept creation and implementation processes in digital design product creation. 2- Advertising agencies, graphic design studios, advertising departments of companies; create advertising campaign concepts and design products. 3. Has the ability to present digital designs and projects. 4- Followed up-to-date communication programs and design perspective.
  2) 1- Critically evaluates advanced knowledge in the field of digital design. 2- To have the consciousness of the necessity of lifelong learning. 3. Continuously develops professional knowledge and skills. 4- Gain the ability to evaluate designs from an objective point of view.
  3) 1- Design all kinds of digital design products according to design criteria. 2. Has the ability to use professional computer programs professionally, efficiently and quickly. 3 - Professional responsibilities related to work areas such as advertising agencies and design studios are capable of acting in accordance with their ethical values.
