SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The goal is to evaluate the rights of children to treatment and to understand the importance of the media at this point. It also distributes the benefits and harms of the child development of the media.
Course Content: This course; Theoretically it includes an introduction to media literacy, how to regulate the relationship between children and media. Media representation, children's rights and professional responsibility., 'Good practice' examples from children's perspective., Children's rights in media: Professional principles and editorial principles, Child protection policies. , Midterm exam, Children and media pushed to crime, News production process, resources and children's rights, Interviewing with children, Children and media in conflict environment, Giving children voice and children ‐ centered media, Examples of 'good practice' focused on children's rights, Final Exam; topics.

Course Specific Rules

As in other courses, 70% attendance is required in the course.
