SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: Starting from the basic concepts in the field of Child Development, Development of Infancy, Development of Early Childhood, Development of School Period and Development in Adolescence Period to inform about basic issues and concepts, to support the approach to the field with a multicultural perspective.
Course Content: Learning Early Childhood Development in a Diverse World, Early Childhood Development: Historical Approaches and Researches, Child Development Theories, Child Development Theories, Genetics, Prenatal Development and Birth, Newborn, Physical Development and Brain Development in Infants, Physical Development in Early Childhood Motor Development, Cognitive Development in Infants, Cognitive Development in Preschool Period, Language and Literacy Skills in Infancy, Symbolic Thought; Play, Language and Literacy in Pre-School Years, Social Emotional Development in Infancy, Social and Emotional Development in Preschool Children
