Course Objectives: |
The aim of this course is to teach the basic concepts of nutrition, nutritional elements, functions of vitamins and minerals, nutritional sources and nutritional groups and nutrition planning in newborn, infant and adolescent period. |
Course Content: |
Carbohydrates, fats and proteins, vitamins, minerals and water, energy metabolism, nutrient groups, dietary fiber, prebiotics - probiotics, food processing methods and forms of storage, what is functional nutrient, label reading, additives, newborn-infant and adolescent nutrition. |
