PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) are the those describing what the graduates are expected to attain or achieve in their academic and/or professional life after a few years of graduation. In this context, Programme Educational Objectives defined for this programme are as follows:
1 To enable students to gain a solid theoretical background in the field of psychology and to develop an interdisciplinary perspective.
2 To provide opportunities for students to put their theoretical knowledge into practice, to gain research and clinical experience in different sub-fields of psychology, to train psychologists who carry out their work according to professional ethical principles, who do not discriminate and who can make professional evaluations without prejudice.
3 To train psychologists who are knowledgeable in different subfields of psychology and have research skills such as data collection, analysis and interpretation, who can evaluate human development taking into account both individual and social variables.
4 To train psychologists who follow the developments in the field of psychology, can think scientifically and critically, and are open to new ideas and learning.
5 To enable students to gain awareness of fulfilling their responsibilities and to improve their ability to work independently.
6 To train psychologists with high leadership, communication skills, social sensitivity, who can contribute to the solution of social problems.
