SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: Teaching the students clinical observation and information skills within the frame of ethical rules and principles.
Course Content: Clinical interview process and stages, basic skills and techniques, sample applications of these basic skills and techniques

  1) Defines therapeutic conditions, comprehends the importance and function of therapeutic conditions
  2) Comprehends the necessary knowledge and skills in the first meeting with the client
  3) Evaluates the client's problems
  4) Knows the characteristics of a good purpose statement in clinical interview, creates an appropriate purpose for the client's problem.
  5) Knows the general structure of a session and gains the skills to conduct the session.
  6) Adapt to the client's problems, determines strategies and chooses intervention methods
  7) Knows and applies emotional interventions, cognitive and behavioral interventions.
  8) Understands the necessary knowledge and skills to start and end the interview process
