SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: This course aims at pharmacologically evaluating DSM disorders and treatment methods. History and basic principles of psychopharmacology are also intended to be discussed in this course.
Course Content: History and basic principles of psychopharmacology will be mentioned briefly. The place of psychopharmacology in depression, OCD, panic disorder, phobias and alcohol and substance use disorder will be discussed. Antipsychotics, anxiolytics, and hypnotic drugs will be introduced in the context of this course.
