SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE |
| Course Objectives: | |
| Course Content: | Basic design course is a basic level course for design principles and applications. The student is engaged in applications by understanding the design rules and main lines within the course. Visual elements consist of point, line, volume and mass, texture, light, color and space. Design principles include the concepts of unity, diversity, balance, emphasis, proportion and scale, movement, rhythm. The student is expected to express these concepts with two-and three-dimensional applications. One of the basic elements of architecture focuses on the concept of space, and it is expected that compositions related to space and form with the basic elements of design will be obtained. This course aims to reassess the environment in which participating students live by abstracting and conceptualizing; to create designs or organizations by blending, organizing, changing concepts such as shape, form, color, pattern, pattern, material, scale and space. The studies to be done during the period focus on developing the ability to understand design relationships and build relationships. Data and constraints allow students to focus on specific design themes, while hand and mind exercises and studies target a wealth of products. In the basic design studio, the design process is valued at least as much as the design product. |
