WORK-BASED LEARNING

Work-based learning is a student-centred educational approach that aims to enable students to reinforce the theoretical knowledge acquired at the university by applying it in real working environments and to achieve programme learning outcomes within a professional context. At Beykoz University, this approach is implemented through the Professional Training in the Workplace course included in the curriculum.

Professional Training in the Workplace is a credit-bearing, long-term and full-time practical course in which students are placed in a workplace related to their field of study for one academic semester (14 weeks). During this period, students have the opportunity to transfer theoretical knowledge into practice, develop professional skills, and become familiar with work discipline, professional responsibilities, and organisational culture.

In this respect, Professional Training in the Workplace constitutes a work-based learning practice structured in accordance with the Bologna Process and ECTS principles. The course workload, assessment criteria and learning outcomes are defined in detail in the Course Catalogue.
