Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The aim of the Emergency Health Services-I course; give information about the regulations, regulations, structure and operation of emergency.
Course Content: Basic Concepts of Health, Preventive Health Services, Medical Services, the Learning of Rehabilitation Services, Building and Health Indicators Health System in Turkey, Emergency Medical Services; Historical Development, the World Health Services, Management, Finance, Emergency Health Services in Turkey Related Legislation Evaluate the Emergency Health Services Organization Structure in Turkey Assess Ambulance and Emergency Care Technician (Paramedic) Learning of Powers and Responsibilities Evaluation of Ambulance and Emergency Medical Tools Ambulance and Emergency Medical Tool Related Law and Standards in Turkey, Emergency Structure and Functioning in Turkey Evaluate Station Types, Using Forms in Emergency Health Services in Turkey; Registration Types, Communication in Emergency Health Services, Use of Radio, Operation of Emergency Health Services, Organization of a Task

Paramedic learns the duties, authority responsibilities and organizational structure of emergency health services.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) are those describing the knowledge, skills and competencies that students are expected to achieve upon successful completion of the course. In this context, Course Learning Outcomes defined for this course unit are as follows:

  1) the availability of emergency medical services in the world and in Turkey and knows first aid and emergency duties and responsibilities of this system technicians.
Skills (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) Knows the drugs and fluids used in pre-hospital emergency care and has the ability to apply
  2) In case of sudden illness or injury, it reaches the scene quickly, evaluates the situation with the doctor, if any, performs the first intervention if necessary and provides the correct method of transport to the appropriate hospital emergency room.
  3) Communicates verbally and in writing with patients, patient relatives and other health professionals.
  4) Uses the necessary knowledge and skills to protect both the patient and himself psychologically and socially in case of emergency aid.
