Course Objectives: |
The course aims to develop students’ ability by teaching them the drawing standards and techniques which they will need to know and apply in their academic and professional careers. It also aims to help students gain the knowledge and skills required to draw and scale geometrical shapes, plans, sights, section/cross-section and perspectives. |
Course Content: |
Drawing equipment, their properties and areas of use; standard scriptures and fonts, font styles, applications; standard lines, their types and areas of use; sketching rules and applications. Geometrical shapes; square, rectangle, triangle, circle, polygon, angle and arc drawings. Scale and scalings. Plan, section, sight concepts, the application of these to objects and buildings. Perspective and its types, areas of use and application of the perspective technique. |
