AIM OF THE PROGRAMME

The general aim of Beykoz University Clinical Psychology Master's Programs, which adopt the clinical scientist model, is to train competent, ethical and productive clinical psychologists in the science and practice of clinical psychology. The program emphasizes the integration of science and clinical practice. In this regard, it pursues the specific objectives listed below:
1. To train graduates who critically evaluate psychopathology and psychotherapy theories and research findings.
2. To educate clinicians with basic skills in clinical assessment and psychotherapy practices.
3. To provide competent clinical psychologists who follow scientific findings and developments in the field of health and integrate them with their clinical practices, have gained experience in the applications of scientific evidence-based psychotherapies, have developed awareness of the cross-cultural applicability of these psychotherapies.
4. To raise graduates who can evaluate scientific developments, produce research questions and have a good command of basic research methodology.
5. To educate clinical psychologists who embrace professional values ​​and ethical principles in clinical practice and research, and respect cultural and individual diversity.
