SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to give basic information about physiotherapy and rehabilitation definition, content, history, development, application areas, legal regulations, team work, communication, general and physiotherapy ethical principles.
Course Content: History of physiotherapy, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, definitions of physiotherapist, duties and responsibilities of physiotherapist, multidisciplinary approach, ethical principles in the field of health, health personnel-patient-patient relationship, patient rights, clinical ethics, research ethics.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) are those describing the knowledge, skills and competencies that students are expected to achieve upon successful completion of the course. In this context, Course Learning Outcomes defined for this course unit are as follows:
Knowledge (Described as Theoritical and/or Factual Knowledge.)
  1) Ability to be equipped with the basic knowledge in the field of health sciences and to apply this knowledge.
