SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to teach basic information about browser technologies and to write code using the Dreamweaver program in HTML and JavaScript languages.
Course Content: The course includes the history of the internet, its introduction and development in the internet environment, website environments and usage, basics of HTML and usage tags, basics and usage of CSS, introduction to JavaScript programming and sample applications.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) are those describing the knowledge, skills and competencies that students are expected to achieve upon successful completion of the course. In this context, Course Learning Outcomes defined for this course unit are as follows:
Knowledge (Described as Theoritical and/or Factual Knowledge.)
  1) 1- Recognize the relevant principles of basic communication, design and web design. 2- It is used in web design and has enough information to use its programs sufficiently. 3- Recognize contemporary, original, aesthetic and applicable digital design products. 4. Knows and follows the authorities in the field of art and desig
    2.1) They will have basic knowledge about CSS.
Skills (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
  1) 1- It has aesthetic point of view to produce digital design product. 2. Create digital design products and projects. 3- Plan the stages of creation, application and production of digital design. 4- Use computer-aided digital design programs effectively and quickly.

    3.1) Selects the program for graphical object design.
    3.2) Prepares draft documents and visual components for the web page.

    4.3) It uses HTML code or CSS and javascript codes with the help of a web editor.

    5.4) It selects the domain and name for the web page to be published, uploads and updates the page to the web server.

  1) 1- Independently prepare the ideas, drafts, concept creation and implementation processes in digital design product creation. 2- Advertising agencies, graphic design studios, advertising departments of companies; create advertising campaign concepts and design products. 3. Has the ability to present digital designs and projects. 4- Followed up-to-date communication programs and design perspective.
