Course Objectives: |
SOFTTRANS® which contains all operational modules of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software meeting all requirements of companies in Logistics and Transportation sector, carries institutions to the future by providing ease of use, quick adaptation, and high efficiency, with the support of visual communication created by its Graphic User Interface. This course provides students with the ability to understand the theory, principles, and applications of SOFTTRANS®.

Course Content: |
This course introduces students to the modules and practices of SOFTTRANS®. SOFTTRANS® logistics and transportation operations management applications constitute an integrated software solution related to all stages of transportation operation. With these applications, companies can run the whole process consisting of offers, booking, orders, instructions, documents, financial data, invoices and reports. Expected and actual cost can be tracked; profit and loss per file, shipment, km, customer, country and route can be calculated. In this context, enhanced applications are available for Freight Forwarders, Domestic and Foreign Transport Companies, Agents, Brokers, Line Operators, Container Transportation and Warehousing Operators, RO-RO Operators, Shipowner Companies and Bonded Warehouse and Warehouse Operators. |

Providing general information about the information systems used in the logistics sector and introducing the Soft Program to students

Line Agency and Container Tracking
With the line agency module, which is one of the soft program modules, the student can transfer loads between certain transportation vehicles. Can identify container number and complete loading operations. |

International Air Transportation
How transportation activities are carried out by air, how cargo enters the cargo plane and under-aircraft cabin sections, and how the route is created are explained in practice. |

International Road Transport and industry representative hospitality
How the loads are loaded onto the road vehicles, how the driver information is entered, how the driver is identified in the vehicle, and how the driver's pass documents are issued are discussed. |

Vehicle Tracking, Fleet and Driver Management
In Soft, it is explained how the records opened since the first week are monitored, how vehicles in different locations can be tracked via satellite systems, and how the in-vehicle communication and directive system is implemented. |

Domestic Transportation Activities
In Soft, in addition to international trade, which has been discussed since the first weeks, information is shared about how domestic transportation activities are carried out and the flow of goods from goods transfer centers to collection areas. |

Information is given about how partial goods are removed from warehouses located in places where customs gates are located, and how to register the discounted exit application. |

Logistics Warehouse Management
A record is made about the flow of goods after various activities in a warehouse, the movements of goods within the warehouse, and the activities of identifying, placing and handling goods in the warehouse. |
