SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The class aims to teach 2D animation techniques via softwares like Adobe After Effects and Illustrator.
Course Content: The classes contain many subtitles related to the film production pipeline like character design and animation, editing and animation techniques and coding.

2) An overview of Adobe Illustrator, vectoral graphics and importing them into After Effects, saving and rendering options. ppt presentation
3) Introduction to computer animation, keyframes, transform paramètres (position, rotation, scale, opacity) making motion graphics with solids. ppt presentation
4) Character design for animation, cutting and masking tools in illustrator and After Effects, basic knowledge of light, shadow, contour and texture. ppt presentation
5) Adding joints by puppet tool, making of a walking animation, parenting and managing multiple layers. ppt presentation

7) Camera, depth, light and 3d environment knowledge. Animation, light and shadow terms in 3d environment. ppt presentation
