SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: In this lesson, starting from the process of finding an idea for students; It is aimed to be able to apply the text writing processes ranging from preparation, writing, draft reading, editing, publishing and customer presentation to their own product or service projects.
Course Content: After students identify their own product or service ideas, they use promotional text, press release, advertising and promotional text writing, project summary writing techniques for various institutions. The topics of storytelling techniques and the use of storytelling in new media help students to apply copywriting in their individual projects.

  6) ● Evaluates new generation digital publishing platforms
  7) ● Develops content compatible with new generation digital publishing platforms

2) Finding ideas, developing pre-writing strategies for different types of writing
3) - Creative Brief writing techniques and examination of sample applications ● Each student will determine a product or service idea to develop content with different copywriting techniques throughout the semester, and must present the promotional texts of the product and service ideas in written and oral form within the third week at the latest. Preliminary evaluation of product and service draft introductory texts (contribution to assessment: 10%

9) Effective use of language in creative writing, examples of incorrect Turkish usage and proofreading practice ● Each student should examine the text given to him and need proofreading in terms of effective use of the language and spelling rules and submit the revised text within the eleventh week at the latest. 10) What is the project? The place and importance of creative writing in project writing
11) Examination of project writing processes and methods used in project writing
12) Production of short content for digital platforms using the components of narration (setting, track, fiction, characters, dialogue)
13) Overview of next generation creative authoring tools and self-publishing platforms
14) Final project file submission and presentations (contribution to the assessment: 50%)
