SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: This course is designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to be able to edit film and video to professional standards and perform post-production using Final Cut Pro editing software. It is aimed that the students who take this course will be able to master all the post-production stages of a project by using the advanced features of Final Cut Pro software.
Course Content: In this course, students will learn the importance of organized and planned work, which is important for film and video editing. An editor, as an important element of the film production team, will be able to develop editing styles and techniques that are open to creativity and reflect this on projects. In a professional context, editing requires features such as attention to detail, knowledge of digital technology and being able to work in collaboration with the director so that the images and sounds at hand can turn into the intended story. In order to be successful in this subject, students are expected to be able to work in a professional cooperation with others.
