SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to convey the basic principles of corporate finance to students in all its aspects. These principles; It can be summarized as investment, financing and dividend policies. Corporate finance examines the institutional environment in businesses. Institutions and the structure of financial markets are investigated. Businesses that operate successfully today are businesses that can create value for both their customers and the investors who fund them. They can achieve this by achieving investment profitability above the cost of capital. Therefore, for businesses, corporate finance includes all activities of effectively managing the value creation process.
