PROGRAMME PROFILE

The Radio, Television and Cinema Bachelor’s Programme is a degree programme situated within the fields of arts and information, structured in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process and the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The programme’s level and field classifications are defined in Beykoz University’s institutional information systems and the ECTS Information Package, in line with national and international qualification frameworks.
The Radio, Television and Cinema Bachelor’s Programme is an interdisciplinary educational programme aimed at training communication professionals who can adapt to the rapidly evolving digital media ecosystem, think creatively and critically, and integrate theoretical knowledge with practice. The programme offers a holistic approach covering the fields of audiovisual narrative, media production, digital publishing and cultural analysis.
The educational process combines theoretical lectures with practical studio work, workshops and project-based production processes. Students have the opportunity to specialise in different media fields through interdisciplinary elective courses and industry partnerships. The programme offers a curriculum that closely follows current developments such as digital transformation, interactive media, virtual reality and new narrative forms.
Graduates of the programme are equipped to take on various roles in the television, film and radio sectors, such as content creator, director, producer, screenwriter, editor, media planner and digital content developer. They may also pursue independent production in the creative industries, take on professional roles within media organisations, or continue their academic careers.

Programme-Specific Criteria
PSC1. Possesses theoretical knowledge of the field of audiovisual communication; evaluates media, culture and communication processes from a critical and analytical perspective.
PSC2. Plans and implements content production processes (idea development, scriptwriting, filming, editing and post-production) in the fields of radio, television and cinema using a holistic approach.
PSC3. Produces creative, original and multi-platform-compatible media content by integrating visual narrative, aesthetic and technical elements; uses current digital technologies effectively.
PSC4. Acts in accordance with ethical principles and legal regulations in media production processes; plays an active role in both individual and team work, applying project management and communication skills.
PSC5. Keeps abreast of current developments in the field; sustains professional and academic development through critical thinking, problem-solving and research skills.
