PROGRAMME PROFILE

The Bachelor’s Program in Management Information Systems is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program that integrates business management with information systems and information technologies. The program is structured in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process and the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS), based on student workload and learning outcomes. The level, field of study, and qualifications classifications of the program are defined in the Beykoz University ECTS Information Package in alignment with national and international qualifications frameworks.
The curriculum combines the theoretical and practical foundations of business and management sciences with those of information systems and information technologies. Within this framework, business functions such as management, organisation, accounting, finance, and marketing are addressed through an integrated approach together with areas including algorithms, programming, database management, systems analysis and design, data analytics, and decision support systems.
The program is designed for students who are interested in integrating business processes with information technologies, developing analytical and critical thinking skills, solving problems, and connecting theoretical knowledge with practice. The curriculum is developed by considering digital transformation, data-driven management, and recent developments in information technologies. Academic knowledge in business and information systems is related to sectoral and societal needs.
The teaching and learning process is conducted through theoretical courses, laboratory activities, applied studies, case analyses, and project-based learning activities. This process is structured to support students in developing analytical thinking, problem-solving, systems thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical contexts.
