Day-to-day, many developments occur in the field of health. The importance given to the concepts of patient safety and patient rights has increased in the light of these developments. This situation necessitated the opening of the operating room services program. As it is known, patients are vulnerable during surgery and operating room services technicians are critical for ensuring their safety and maintaining sterility in the operating room. However, the low number of operating room services technicians and the increasing number of inpatient health institutions and organizations have increased the need for qualified health personnel in this field.

The Operating Room Services Program, which takes the student with TYT score type, continues its education and training activities since 2017-2018 Academic Year. The language of instruction is Turkish and 120 ECTS. Curriculum in the program; competency courses, core courses, vocational field specialization courses and workplace practice training.

Students who successfully complete this section will not only be limited to the operating room skills, but also to monitor and record the patient's life findings, to prepare and administer medication, to give patient position, to provide surgical patient safety, sterile dressing and dressing, sterile package opening and closing. by contributing to his career.
