By the end of this course, students will:
Understand key concepts and trends in contemporary world politics.
Analyze major global political challenges, including conflict, climate change, and economic inequalities.
Evaluate the roles of international organizations, state and non-state actors in addressing global issues.
Apply international relations theories to current global events.
Develop skills in research, debate, and critical analysis of world political issues. |
| Course Content: |
This course explores pressing issues in contemporary world politics, analyzing global political trends, conflicts, and governance challenges. Students will examine geopolitical shifts, international organizations, global economic inequalities, security dilemmas, environmental concerns, and the rise of nationalism. The course will encourage critical thinking about global power structures, international relations theories, and the role of various actors in shaping world politics.
