SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The goal of this course is for students to provide an understanding the basic modes of transportation, the economic fundamentals underlying each and some of the ways in which today's supply chain professional can use them to achieve improved efficiencies and cost effectiveness.
Course Content: This course includes topics such as the history and principles of transportation , basic modes of transportation, costing and pricing of transportation and challenges in transportation management.
