SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: Master's seminar includes an examination of the process of educational and counseling research, types of research design, critical evaluation of research studies. During this course students define their area of interest for the thesis or project and narrow the specific focus with help from an advisor and/or faculty member who may become a reader for their work.
Course Content: This course will cover various aspects of thesis planning and execution and offer a workshop environment for discussion and development of individual theses. As part of the Master's seminar, the student plans and conducts research, prepares a Master's thesis, containing a review of the literature and research report.
