SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: It is aimed that the graduates of this course will be able to master the basic composition elements and to make basic design concepts and elements theoretically and practically with different techniques and materials based on plastic elements.
Course Content: Approaching subjects such as balance from composition, object analysis, three-dimensional applications, experimental studies, collage technique within the framework of basic composition elements, making free compositions, creating realistic and abstract arrangements are shown theoretically and practically.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) are those describing the knowledge, skills and competencies that students are expected to achieve upon successful completion of the course. In this context, Course Learning Outcomes defined for this course unit are as follows:
Knowledge (Described as Theoritical and/or Factual Knowledge.)
  1) Perceive the basic concepts of art and understand the meaning of basic design practically.
  2) Experience creating form / composition using basic design elements and materials.
Skills (Describe as Cognitive and/or Practical Skills.)
  1) Develops composition and transfer skills.
  2) Produces interactive studies and acquires analytical thinking skills.
  3) Gains the ability to convey what she designs using different tools and materials.
  4) Gains the ability to compose with textured / non-woven surfaces using color or black and white.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
  1) Develops original thinking practice.
  2) It selects the material suitable for the purpose and presents it in a whole.
