Course Objectives: |
A student who successfully completes this course will gain knowledge and view about the development of world art in painting, sculpture, and architecture from the very beginning, use art terms, define the historical development of art, use art terms, the historical development of art in the geographical, political, psychological, socio-cultural and how it is shaped in the context of aesthetic needs, and to associate it with today's art. Students will be able to compare, criticize and analyze all periods of art. |
Course Content: |
Definition of art and basic art theories will be emphasized. The change and differentiation of art in chronological order depending on civilizations, periods and movements, the examination of all technological and sociological factors that determine them in the axis of European Art starting from prehistory; In the Art History course, starting from primitive art (briefly), Ancient Art and the works of art - painting, sculpture and architecture - from the 19th century to the end of the 20th century will be shown and analyzed. |
