SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: Within the framework of the program determined by the Graphic Design Department, it is aimed to develop the practical skills and the emergence of mental capacity during the formation of the artist's personality in the second semester of the pattern education. It is aimed to reveal the creative potential and unique sensitivity of the student through discussions that examine the concepts in the history of traditional and contemporary art, and to question the student's artistic point of view and express himself in his own words.
Course Content: In this course, students will learn about subjects such as one point perspective, two point perspective, visual mathematics,
occupancy - space, proportion, light-shadow, form, light-dark toning, anatomy and art history, and theoretically they put their knowledge into practice.

  1) To be able to comprehend the concepts of light and shadow and the importance of these concepts in painting.
  2) To be able to draw the pattern correctly by applying the ratio-proportion rules.
  3) Learning to take measurements by drawing the figure correctly.
Competences (Described as "Ability of the learner to apply knowledge and skills autonomously with responsibility", "Learning to learn"," Communication and social" and "Field specific" competences.)
