SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the basic principles, processes and practices of organisational behavior and develop their ability to analyze them from a strategic perspective. In this context, besides examining the basic principles of how individual(s) and/or group(s) behave in the organisation, evaluating how these basic principles can be used as tools to increase individual performance and organizational effectiveness are among the complementary objectives of this course.
Course Content: The course begins by discussing the science of organizational behavior at the individual level and continues to analyze this discussion by relating it to more complex levels such as groups and organisations. In this context, subjects such as personality, perception, job satisfaction, motivation theories, communication, leadership theories, power and politics, organizational structures, organizational development and change, stress management, entrepreneurship, performance management, corporate culture, ethics constitute the content of this course.
