| Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is to examine how the workings of financial market, how financial institutions and banks work and the role of money in the economy and identify the links between monetary policy and economic variables. |

Functions of Money, Financial Markets, Money Markets, Capital Markets, Meaning of Interest Rates, Behaivor of Interest Rates, Banking Types and Bank's Balance Sheet, Principles of Bank Management, Banking Risks and Risk Management, Financial Crises, Central Banking, Tools of Monetary Policy |
