SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The main objective of this course is to examine the human behavior and development within social systems through the major social science theories. The life cycle of human beings, starting from infancy, up to old age and death, is discussed in the above theoretical basis. By examining the relationship of some problems with human behaviors, it is tried to develop critical thinking capacity of students in terms of social work discipline.
Course Content: In this course, theories and problems of infancy, childhood and youth periods are discussed within the framework of the interaction of social systems such as families, groups, organizations, institutions, communities and societies.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) are those describing the knowledge, skills and competencies that students are expected to achieve upon successful completion of the course. In this context, Course Learning Outcomes defined for this course unit are as follows:
