SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The purpose of Crew resource Management (CRM) training is to provide students necessary knowledge, skills and attitude to promote safety and in parallel, enhance the efficiency of flight safety by making optimum use of human resources, minimize human errors, reducing aircraft accidents and incidents.
Course Content: By using "SHELL" which is the conceptual model of human factors in aviation, awarenes is created in students about their places as individuals within the system, they will be able use their skills in their relations with aviation, company procedures, machine, environment and other human beings, to perform their duties in the best way possible in terms of flight safety. These skills include leadership, managing people, crowd control, teamwork, personal interactions, synergy, motivation, understanding of personal differences and how to deal with them, chain of errors, anger management, body language, excessive self-confidence, stress management, physical and mental health and stress limits, professionalism, time management, communication and perception differences, fatigue, workload management, situation assessment, risk management, decision making, vigilance, drowsiness, automation, nutrition, working principles of the mind and the body, eating habits, briefing, de-briefing and feedback.
