WORK PLACEMENT(S)

Within the Architecture Undergraduate Program at Beykoz University, compulsory internship practices are included to support students in developing their professional knowledge and skills in practical environments. These internships provide students with the opportunity to observe and experience in a professional context the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during their academic education. The program includes a total of 40 working days of compulsory internships, which are carried out in two stages: Internship I (Construction Site Internship): At the end of the second academic year, students complete a 20-working-day construction site internship during the summer term. This internship aims to enable students to observe on-site construction processes, building production techniques, material applications, and site organization. Internship II (Office Internship): At the end of the third academic year, students complete a 20-working-day architectural office internship during the summer term. This internship aims to provide students with professional experience in architectural design production processes, office operations, and project drafting and implementation practices. Internship practices support students in understanding different dimensions of professional practice, relating the knowledge and skills acquired in design studios to real-world environments, and preparing for post-graduation professional life. The duration, assessment criteria, student responsibilities, and implementation procedures of internships are carried out in accordance with the relevant practical training regulations and academic unit decisions of Beykoz University.
