AIM OF THE PROGRAMME

The aim of the discipline of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design is to project the created space in the content that will respond to the work required by the space and to design complicated or simple space organizations to comply with human size and ergonomics. Interior Architecture and Environmental Design should be arranged in a manner appropriate to the function of that space which are all kinds of closed, open, semi open space, without ignoring the structural, aesthetic and historical values.The aim of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design; as well as educating designers who are capable of making structure, space and environment arrangements equipped with artistic and scientific orientations, systematizing them and producing contemporary creative solutions, by integrating form and function, contributes to raising awareness of interior design in society. Students are required to successfully complete the internship courses based on professional practice in order to transform professional knowledge into practical skills and to develop knowledge and skills.

Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design; to provide qualified human resources to sectors that serves in construction, architecture, furniture and all other design branches, and to train interior designers within the framework of education, practice and research that will contribute to the field and country economy. The purpose of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design programme at Beykoz University that to educate interior architects who will be able to make designs that are sensitive to environmental and social problems, have high general culture, and will make a difference at national and international level.

The Department of Interior Architecture will take up seriously the idea that will educate students who are self-developed, disciplined work that can think analytically, be self-confident, make constructive criticism, be sensitive and pioneering, sensitive to professional law and ethical principles, follow current topics, be innovative, take responsibility, have high communication skills, sensitive to their problems, educated individuals with a high level of general culture.
