SECTION II: INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Course Objectives & Content

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide students with an analytical understanding of global financial markets, international capital flows, foreign exchange markets, and the roles of global financial institutions. Students are expected to develop the ability to assess global economic integration, make international investment decisions, and manage global financial risks.
Course Content: The course covers the historical evolution of the global financial system, international monetary system, foreign exchange markets, international financial institutions, portfolio investments, foreign direct investment, global risk management, financial crises, and the impact of globalization on finance.
